Marsha (she, her) received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2006 at DePaul University in Chicago. She earned her Master of Sciences in Counseling Psychology from Utah State University in 2011. She received her Doctorate degree in Clinical, Counseling, and School Psychology with a Multicultural/Rural Psychology emphasis in 2016 from Utah State University, where she specialized working with Latinx community, 1st gen students/professionals, Spanish-speaking individuals, domestic violence and trauma. She completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, working with children and families that have been impacted by sexual abuse and other complex traumas.


Her approach to working with clients is through a Multicultural/Feminist theoretical orientation, that entails a collaborative and holistic approach to healing. Her interests include: Diversity/multiculturalism, social justice issues, acculturative stress, first-gen concerns, identity development, depression, anxiety, relationships, complex trauma, and BIPOC/ Latinx mental health issues.
